Sonic: Unleashed Confirmed by SEGA Europe?
Yesterday we had rumors. Then early this morning we had leaks. Now, quicker than ever, SEGA Europe may have officially confirmed Sonic: Unleashed with a brief press release today on the SEGA Magazine website. Is that enough Sonic news for you? While we aren't sure if its an offical release, what was posted on the site can be read below:

"Sonic the Hedgehog returns for a full-blown, action-packed adventure through the desolate and unpredictable World of Mubuz, a world dictated by an evil Dragon Lord, Immarius. Upon entering Muboz, Sonic fights an evil power which turns all the inhabitants into dangerous beasts.

-Become Wolf Sonic and fight enemies like never before using rapid combo maneuvers and Ring Energy
-Play as Sonic, Knuckles or Tails through 12 packed stages
-Extensive 2D gameplay brings the old Sonic back home"

This Easter Sunday has been a Sonic-filled celebration, and to hear everyone's favorite hedgehog return to his old 2D ways is just about the best Easter present I have ever received. Actually, I take that back. Ocarina of Time is still my best Easter present by a large margin.

While not the best Easter gift ever, the game does sounds promising (although I do recall another major character in gaming that transformed into a wolf not so long ago). Also, to hear that Knuckles and Tails will be back ONLY is great news, as the exclusion of other outlandish hedgehogs shows how SEGA is trying to simplify the Sonic formula. Probably no more information on the game for a while, so enjoy this news because its all you're going to get for a while.
